How to Add Printer in Windows 10

First, open the Windows start menu.

After that, you need to click on the ‘Settings’.

From there, click on the devices.

Now, you must select the ‘Printers and Scanners’ in the left panel. 

Then, click add on printer. 

Now, click on the headline written ’The printer that I want isn’t listed.’ 

After that, the ‘Add Printer’ screen will appear. 

Choose ‘Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings’. 

At last, click on Next.

First, shut down your computer.

Then, turn off the printer.

After that, restart your computer.

Once you reboot your computer, log in back to Windows.

Then, turn on the Windows.   

Now, attempt to install the printer. If your Windows is unable to recognize the printer, continue with its troubleshooting. 

After that, disconnect the USB cable from the printer and the computer. 

Now, reconnect the cable and ensure that it is securely connected to both the devices. 

Again, reinstall the printer. If the Windows still does not recognize the printer, troubleshoot it. 

Now, Plug the USB cord into different USB ports on the computer.

Try utilizing a new USB cable if Windows still does not identify the printer. A broken wire will make it impossible to connect the printer to your computer firmly.

First, select the option “The printer that I want isn’t listed.” 

Then, a new popup window labeled “Add Printer” will show up on the screen as soon as you click this. 

Now, click the Next button after navigating to the new popup window.

Choose the “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings” option.

Now, choose Standard TCP/IP from the drop-down box.

Then, click the “Create a New Port” radio option. 

Next, select “Next” by clicking the button. 

Now, type your IP address and click on Next.

You will see a drop-down list menu; choose the appropriate device type.

Then, install the print driver by choosing the printer model driver in the right column.

Now, the printer manufacturer is in the left column. Click the Next button.

Click the Next button after selecting the “Use the driver that is currently installed (recommended)” option.

Again, click the Next button after configuring printer sharing.

Now, your printer and PC are successfully linked.

First, type printers into the Windows Search bar.

Now, select Printers and Scanners under System Settings in the result list.

Then, select Add Printers and Scanners, and wait till Windows 10 searches nearby devices. 

At last, choose the name of your printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
